The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the BJP's youth wing, began a "Cheer4India – Be Like an Olympian" campaign on Thursday, one day before the Tokyo Olympic games 2020 starts on Friday.
In the presence of BJYM national president Tejasvi Surya, Union ministers Anurag Thakur and Nisith Pramanik started the campaign at the BJP headquarters here in New Delhi.The campaign was launched to support the Indian government's "Cheer4India" program.
The BJYM hopes to register at least two lakh people to take part in various challenges during the Olympics, stating that this will be the first time a political party's youth wing has attempted to change people's minds on such a large scale.

“The BJYM has initiated an innovative campaign to enhance the spirit of the players representing the country in the Tokyo Olympics,” Thakur said after launching the campaign.
“The campaign will run for 16 days, from July 23 until August 8,” Surya stated. The BJYM has also launched a campaign portal through which young people can sign up for 16 various activities.”
“The campaign is a one-of-a-kind attempt to urge the youth to be agile and strong, in addition to cheering for Indian sportsmen at the Olympics. “The ‘Be Like an Olympian' challenge is a 16-day challenge in which participants will undertake tasks to improve their physical and mental fitness and successfully complete them over the period of the Olympics,” according to the BJYM.
The BJYM encouraged individuals to go to the website and register so that they may explore the numerous challenges and choose one or more of their favourites.
Walking, running, cycling, meditation, prayer, reading, and waking up early are among the challenges.
Using the portal's "add a custom challenge" option, participants can create their own challenge and follow it for 16 days.
To be eligible for the virtual gold medal, players must report the status of their tasks on the website on a daily basis.
