After almost a decade, the final verdict in the Jiah Khan suicide case finally arrived on Friday with Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi being acquitted of all charges due to lack of evidence. The Special CBI Court in Mumbai on Friday announced the verdict in which Judge AS Sayyed observed that due to paucity of evidence, this court can’t hold you (Sooraj Pancholi) guilty, hence acquitted. For the unversed, on June 3, 2012, Jiah Khan an American citizen was found hanging at her Juhu residence by her mother Rabiah. On June 10, the Police recovered Jiah Khan's suicide note in which she had allegedly narrated the ordeal she faced while being in a relationship with Sooraj Pancholi. Based on Jiah Khan's letter, Sooraj Pancholi was booked under section 306 (abetment to suicide) and later he was arrested as well. Notably, after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput under mysterious circumstances, fans on social media started hashtags and demanded justice for both of them. Now, with Jiah Khan's case verdict has been finallyannounced, Sushant Singh Rajput's fans are now filled with rage and are expressing their own thoughts over the decision.

Notably, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020. At first, it was reported that Sushant died by suicide and his roommates stated that they found him hanging. However, later when the are of fans intensified, the theories were nullified. Sushant was in a relationship with actress Rhea Chakraborty during that time. While the Mumbai Police started an initial investigation, fans and Sushant's family sensed lapses and therefore they demanded CBI inquiry. As a result, Bihar CM ordered CBI probe. Lter, central agencies like NCB and ED also joined hands. During the investigation, Rhea Chakraborty along with her brother Showik was also sent to jail over narcotics charges. After spending one month in Byculla Jail, Mumbai, the actress was released on bail in October, the same year. The case is still under investigation.
