Adding another feather in the cap, Narendra Modi on Thursday was conferred with UAE prestigious Zayed Medal for giving a “big boost” to bilateral strategic ties.
The Zayed Medal is the highest civil decoration of the United Arab Emirates. Previously it has been given to the world leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President XI Jinping, Queen Elizabeth II and former Pakistan president Parvez Musharraf.
However, winning awards and accolades is not a new thing for the Prime Minister of India, as he has won many globally acclaimed honors and awards.
Seoul Peace Prize 2018
Early in 2019, Modi was also conferred with Seoul Peace Prize 2018 for his contribution to international cooperation and nurturing global economic growth. Recipients of Seoul Peace prize like Bangladeshi Dr. Muhammad Yunus, NGO “Doctors Without Borders” have also went on to win Nobel Peace Prize in the past.
Philip Kotler Presidential Award
The PMO of India also went on to win the prestigious Philip Kotler Presidential award in 2019. The Kotler award is given as a gesture for marketing excellence. This award is by the name of internationally renowned Professor who invented the word “marketing”.
Champions of the Earth award
United Nations conferred Modi with the highest environmental honor “Champions of The Earth Award” in 2018. He was conferred with this honor for championing the international solar alliance and promoting new areas of level of cooperation on environmental action.
Grand Collar of the state of Palestine
It is the highest order given to foreign dignitaries or head of state to the state of Palestine. In 2018, Modi was bestowed with this honor by Palestine government for his contribution in ties between both the countries.
Amir Abdulla Khan award of Afghanistan
PM Modi was also presented with Afghanistan highest civilian award in 2016 after the inauguration of the landmark Afghan-India Friendship Dam in Herat.
Since the time of taking the oath for the Prime Minstrel office Modi has acclaimed various honors be it 2016 Time person of the year, enlisting in the Forbes World powerful people list 2018 or the third most followed world leader as per Burson Cohn & Wolfe (BCW) study.
