Bhagwant Mann Works For Farmers: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and his administration has kept a special focus to improves the lives and income of farmers of the state. For this, Punjab Chuef Minister Bhagwant Mann has come up with multiple schemes. From landless farmers to traditional farmers, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and his administration have made sure that their schemes benefit all types of farmers. Apart from schemes for farmers, Mann government's Horticulture Department is encouraging farmers to adopt various supporting businesses along with farming and gardening.
For this, the Government has established High-Tech vegetable centres in Moga and Kartarpur (Jalgarh). These centres are proving to be a boon for farmers. In these centres, vegetable crop preparation is done according to the season. Crop preparation is done using Israeli technology in Kartarpur Vegetable centres. Spread over an area of about 15 acres, this centre is the first of its kind in the state. The centre focuses on increasing the productivity and quality of vegetables by using the latest agricultural technology.
In Center of Excellence for Vegetables Kartarpur, multi-grading/Sorting line Hydrogen Unit and Plant Health Clinic have been opened.
This centre is encouraging farmers to cultivate vegetables through modern techniques. In this unit, emphasis is being given to the production of vegetables through soilless medium using ultra-modern technology. With this technology, farmers are cultivating nutritious green vegetables.
With the objective of facilitating the cultivation of vegetables and increasing the profit of farmers, a high-tech nursery centre has been established in 6 acres of land in Moga under the Horticulture Department as well. Different units related to safe cultivation of vegetables have been provided in this centre.
In order to prepare nursery for vegetables, a high-tech nursery unit has been set up in one acre in this centre, in which nursery seeds of vegetables without seeds are prepared in pots during summer and winter seasons and given to farmers. Here nursery seeds of cucumber, tomato, capsicum, brinjal, pumpkin etc are being prepared without seeds. One high-tech Poly house and two natural Poly houses have been built in the centre.
