Wellness Resorts Punjab, Wellness Resorts Bhagwant Mann Government: Ever since Aam Aadmi Party leader Bhagwant Mann took oath as CM of Punjab, he has made his intention clear that he will make the state a tourism hub. To boost tourism in Punjab, CM Bhagwant Mann and his government are coming up with unique initiatives. Apart from traditional tourism, the Mann Government has come up with eco-tourism, and wellness tourism in the form of wellness resorts.
The Punjab government has prepared a new wellness tourism policy, under which modern wellness resorts with traditional Indian medical practices like naturopathy and Ayurveda can be opened in the state.
These wellness resorts can prove to be game changers in promoting tourism in Punjab. These wellness resorts will have three categories namely Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The wellness resorts in Gold will be built on at least 10 acres and the wellness resorts in silver resorts will be built on at least two acres. These will also have tent facilities. There will be 10 double-bedroom facilities in the silver category and at least 5 in bronze. All will have a swimming pool and sports facilities. Apart from this, there will be a lot of open space in these resorts. In-house services are also available in Gold category Resorts. There will be at least 20 double bedroom tents in these. Under Punjab's wellness policy, Ayurveda, Unani, and special yoga teachers will be appointed in these resorts.
These resorts will provide services like spas, yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, naturopathy, and skin care treatments which will encourage people to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
