Farmers unions of Punjab are protesting today resulting in a Bharat Bandh on February 16. In light of this development, the traffic has been diverted for the smooth running of public transport and traffic in the state. The district police administration of SBS has issued advisory for the general public to use the below mentioned roads so that they do not face any kind of trouble. These are the diverted routs from Chandigarh to Jalandhar and Nawahshahr.
1) Traffic from Chandigarh to Jalandhar: From Asron Via Nurpur Bedi.
2) Traffic from Chandigarh to Jalandhar: Via Phillaur-Jalandhar to via T-Point Jadla.
3) Traffic to Jalandhar: From Bhulekha Chowk, Balachore via Garhshankar.
4) Chandigarh to Nawanshahr: Via T-points Birowal.
5) Traffic from Jalandhar to Chandigarh: From Mahindipur Byepass via Garhshankar.
6) From Jalandhar side to Chandigarh: Via Garhshankar Chowk, Banga can go to Balachore from Garhshankar.
7) Phagwara to Nawanshahr: Traffic might be diverted from Khatkar Kalan via Thandia via Garhshankar.
