Bharat Darshan Tirtha Train to 7 Jyotirlingas set to begin: Know schedule, timing & other key details

A Special Tirtha Train has been launched by the Indian Railways to ease travel to the seven Jyotirlingas during summer vacations. 

According to recent reports, the ‘Bharat Darshan’ train will start its journey on May 31, 2025, from Dhanbad and will go to seven Jyotirlingas, including Mahakal, Shirdi, and Dwarkadhish. The train will return on June 12, 2025, after completing the journey in 12 nights and 13 days. 

The travelers will be comfortable as various forms of coaches will be available for passengers, including sleepers and third AC coaches. Around 490 seats will be available in the sleeper, and 240 seats will be available for people who want to travel in the third AC. 

The estimated ticket rate for the sleeper package is around Rs 23,575, and the third AC package is around Rs 39,990. 

The train journey will start at 7 am from Dhanbad on May 31 and will return to Dhanbad on June 12 at around 5:30 pm. However, there are a few chances that the timings of the train’s arrival or departure may change, information about which will be shared by the passengers in advance. 

During the journey, passengers will visit the following Jyotirlingas - 

Mahakal and Omkareshwar of Ujjain, 
Somnath, 
Dwarka and Nageshwar Jyotirling, 
Shirdi and Shani Singanapur, 
Nashik Trimbakeshwar, Pune 
Bhimashankar and 
Aurangabad Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga.

It is to be noted that during the journey, people can board the special train from Hazaribagh, Koderma, Ara, Buxar, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, Gaya, Rajgir, Biharsharif, Bakhtiyarpur, Patna and Dildarnagar.

Meanwhile, while returning to Dhanbad, passengers will not be able to leave the train at the above-mentioned stations. 

In addition to this, accommodations will be provided to the passengers at the pilgrimage sites, along with local transport facilities. However, only vegetarian food will be served to the passengers during the journey.
