Biden administration: Undoing Trump policies hours after swearing ceremony

The former President, Donald Trump didn't concede defeat formally and skipped Biden's inauguration ceremony. Thus, lending it another tag of historic moment in America. However, in his farewell address, he mentioned words like "luck, pray" for the new administration at the helm.

President Joe Biden has started to undo some critical policies that are symbolic of Trump's presidency. Following his inauguration as the 46th President of the United States of America, Biden in a tweet wrote, "There is no time to waste when it comes to tackling the crises we face. That's why today, I am heading to the Oval Office to get right to work delivering bold action and immediate relief for American families."

Biden signed 15 executive orders starting with boosting the federal response to the pandemic. His other orders include undoing Trump's policies on climate change and immigration.

President Biden has seen the inauguration of 13 presidents but his presidential inauguration has been different from them. It was the most secure event in the history of America after the US faced unrest on January 6.

Biden after taking the oath of the office had said, "Democracy has prevailed." A statement detailing Biden's executive orders said, " (President Biden) will take action - not just to reverse the gravest damages of the Trump administration - but also to start moving our country forward."

The Biden administration has begun the process of rejoining the World Health Organization. Biden's top priorities also include tackling climate change. He begun the process by signing the executive order to rejoin the Paris climate deal of 2015.

The previous administration's permission to Keystone XL Pipeline will be revoked. The executive order also include lifting the travel ban from Muslim majority nations.
