Ilya Lichtenstein was a tech person before he met Heather Morgan after she secured an investment from an investor. After meeting first on an online video conference and then personally, Ilya and Heather fell in love with each other and later shifted to New York abruptly and started living a luxurious life together. After years of being under surveillance by the US Feds, Ilya Lichtenstein and Heather Morgan were both arrested in February 2022. Ilya Lichtenstein has been in prison since his arrest.

On the other hand, Heather Morgan aka Razzlekhan who wasn’t involved in the actual hack, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. She was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Where is Ilya Lichtenstein's hacker father now?

Ilya Lichtenstein's father Eugene was also a hacker as revealed in the Netflix documentary. Eugene allegedly hacked the First National Bank of Indiana. While there is no charges against Eugene by the US authorities, Eugene started working as a real estate agent. Furthermore, Eugene has his origin in Russia.

Talking about where is Eugene now, he has managed to lead a relatively comfortable, stable, and quiet life alongside his loved ones in Glenview, Illinois. He has been making the most of his free time over the past few years by taking up different hobbies and traveling the world — most recently, in the summer of 2024, he visited Italy.

Ilya Lichtenstein's Russia connection

The Netflix documentary also links Ilya Lichtenstein and Heather to Russia. One of the people present in the documentary highlighted that Ilya Lichtenstein and Heather evaded CCTVs installed in Kyiv, Ukraine to buy fake passports and other illicit documents. It is said that only secret service agents are capable enough to evade CCTVs that were present inside and outside an office in Kyiv.

As a result, True Scoop tried to dig more into Ilya Lichtenstein's Russia connection. Lichtenstein, 35, who goes by the nickname "Dutch" (a character from the video game Red Dead Redemption 2) and is from Glenview, Illinois, comes from a family that emigrated from Russia.

After his father's name popped up with the potential of his connection with Russia, the US government imposed the National Security Act meaning not all documents would be reviewed or be presented in the public domain. Hence, the US acting so urgently on the matter and imposing the NSA, flag something deeper and fishy that has not been revealed.
