Vote counting is underway for Bihar Elections and trends are changing drastically. Earlier in the day, Mahagathbandan was leading on over 110 seats while NDA stood behind at 65 seats but as the counting unfolded the trends changed.
As of now, NDA has crossed the majority mark of 122 Assembly seats and the Grand Alliance is still struggling to gain momentum.
However, an interesting fact has come to light which states that the key rival parties are locked in a tough fight to get 170 seats for just 2,000 votes. According to the EC officials, across the 243 Bihar Assembly seats, there are 99 seats with a margin of less than 2,000 votes, 54 seats with a margin of less than 1,000 votes, and 28 seats with a margin of fewer than 500 votes.
Notably, these seats could swing anytime and in any direction as the counting is still in the early stages with many more rounds to go.

According to the EC officials, the vote counting will be done in 23-91 rounds, the results will be a bit clear till 3 pm. It is expected that the counting will continue till late evening due to the added number of EVMs while adhering to Covid-19 protocols. So far, only 16 percent of votes are counted, EC official said.
Thus, the state will have to wait for some more time to know the Chief Minister-elect of Bihar.
For all 243 seats, NDA is leading on 127 seats with BJP leading in 73 seats, JDU leading in 47 seats, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) leading in 7 seats. The Mahagathbandhan is leading in 100 seats with RJD leading in 61 seats, Congress leading in 20 seats, and the Left leading in 19 seats. BSP is leading on one seat, AIMIM on three, LJP on five, and independents on seven seats, suggests Election Commission's trends.
