Bihar IPS Officer Amit Lodha, Known for Netflix web series ‘Khakee’ lands into soup

An FIR has been filed against Lodha under the Prevention of Corruption Act and Indian Penal Code Sections 120 (B).

A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Lodha under the Prevention of Corruption Act and Indian Penal Code Sections 120 (B) pertaining to criminal conspiracy and 168. (public servant unlawfully engaging in trade).

"Bihar Diary," a novel written by Amit Lodha, was released in 2017. The web series "Khakee": The Bihar Chapter was based on this book and was produced by Friday Story Teller and NETFLIX. On November 25, Netflix published this web series. Amit Lodha is portrayed as the SP in this.

The Special Monitoring Unit (SVU) has filed an FIR against Amit Lodha, the former IG of Magadh range, for corruption and financial irregularities. Earlier, the SVU raided three of Aditya Kumar's addresses on Wednesday while filing an FIR against him.

According to the Special Monitoring Unit, Amit Lodha is suspected of corruption and financial irregularities for personal gain while serving as a government employee. Despite working for the government, he conducted commercial work for Friday Story Teller and Netflix.

It further stated that the series was produced at a reported cost of 64 crore by Friday Story Teller Private Limited. "The cost is being carried by Los Gatos Production Service India LLP, which is Netflix's legal agent in India." According to the allegations, Lodha and Friday Story Teller Pvt Limited entered into an acquisition agreement on November 2, 2018, however records indicate that the accused got Rs 12372 from the production firm on August 18, 2018.
