Recently, Bikram Majithia, a prominent political figure in Punjab, has made allegations against Kartarpur MLA Balkar Singh, claiming that he had obtained a fake disabled certificate for his son to secure a job as a sub-inspector in the police force. Majithia has accused Singh of committing fraud and breaking the rules to get his son a job.

The allegations were first made by Majithia during a taunt aimed at Singh, who challenged him to confront the issue. Majithia later accused Singh of using his influence to obtain the certificate, which stated that his son was 50 percent disabled, making him eligible for a job reserved for disabled candidates. Majithia questioned the validity of the certificate and asked how Singh could claim that his son was 50 percent disabled when he appeared to be perfectly healthy in a photograph he shared with the media.

Majithia also raised questions about the role of DGP Gaurav Yadav, who allegedly issued the certificate. He asked whether the recommendation would have been given by the Medical Board and whether the person who issued the certificate had seen the candidate and verified that he was indeed 50 percent disabled.

Majithia further alleged that Singh had manipulated the system to secure a job for his son, who had failed in other recruitment exams. Singh had allegedly broken the rules by creating a new category for disabled candidates and securing a stay from the court, which halted the recruitment of 560 candidates.

The allegations have caused concern among the public, with many questioning the fairness of the recruitment process and the actions of the government. The case highlights the need for transparency and accountability in government appointments and the importance of following due process to ensure that candidates are selected on merit and not through nepotism or fraud.

As the case continues to develop, it remains to be seen how the authorities will respond to the allegations and whether action will be taken against those found to have broken the rules.
