Do you know, Madhuri Dixit, Bollywood's dhak-dhak girl, had her marriage proposal rejected by popular Bollywood singer Suresh Wadkar. You must be wondering why someone would refuse such a lovely lady. Madhuri Dixit's parents, like every other parent, were concerned about their daughter. Her decision to work in Bollywood films did not go well with them.


They desired Madhuri to marry at a young age. They reasoned that if Madhuri continued to work in the film industry, it would be difficult for her to find a suitable husband. So Suresh Wadkar came to their mind.


They gave him a marriage proposal without hesitation. However, the answer was not what they had expected. Suresh Wadkar had turned down her proposal! The explanation for this is that Madhuri Dixit was too thin. Are you serious? Yes, Madhuri Dixit was rejected for this purpose.

Madhuri's parents were heartbroken, and they were once again concerned about her safety. They believed that if Madhuri continued to work in film, more issues would occur in the future. But that was the end of it. This didn't deter Dhak Dhak girl at all.  She continued to entertain the audience while working hard to achieve her goal. Madhuri Dixit has six Filmfare awards and the Padma Shri award under her belt.

Fortunately, she met Shriram Madhav Nene, a cardiovascular surgeon from Los Angeles, who was the right guy for her. The diva tied the knot on October 17, 1999. Arin and Rayaan, their two sons, were born to them.


With just a smile, Bollywood's queen of hearts has gained a million fans and dominated the silver screen for decades before prioritising her family. Her fans can watch some of her evergreen films, such as Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, Tezaab, Khalnayak, Devdas, and others, as the Padmashree awardee turns 51 today. The actress will be seen in a Marathi film Bucket List, directed by Tejas Deoskar.
