A BJP delegation is set to meet the Election Commission on Monday to seek an intervention to ensure the allowance of campaigning in West Bengal.
"We are seeking an intervention of the Election Commission to ensure that the party leaders, including Union Ministers and state Chief Ministers are allowed to campaign in West Bengal." said a BJP official.
A party delegation comprising Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, S S Ahluwalia and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Kailash Vijayvargiya will point to the poll panel that UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was not allowed to campaign in the eastern state on Sunday.
Yogi Adityanath's helicopter was not allowed to land in the state where he delivered his speech by phone.
