A simple advertisement for interfaith unity by Tanishq is turning out to be a big issue in India.  Tanishq is a jeweler with branches all over India, it launched an interfaith advertisement in which a Muslim Mother-in-law organizes Hindu rituals for her daughter-in-law.

The step to promote interfaith unity by Tanishq backfired it as the majority of people accused the company of promoting Love Jihad.

Recently, eminent news organization NDTV broke the news that a store of popular jewelry brand Tanishq was attacked in Gujarat amid a row over an advertisement that has been withdrawn after vicious trolling on social media.
