When the NEET Exam Results 2024 was declared no one would have thought that it would turn out to be the first & biggest challenge of the Modi Government 3.0. How much did the leaked NEET Question Paper cost to arrested students?

As per reports, Patna Police has arrested seven people, including four candidates, in connection with the NEET-UG question paper leak case. The arrested students' confession letters have been cited by multiple portals in which How NEET 2024 Question Paper was leaked has been revealed. 

As per the confession letter of all accused students, a 'problem solver gang' charged Rs 32 lakh to provide the leaked NEET 2024 question paper. The NEET-UG exam 2024 was held on May 5 and the results were declared on June 5. 

What did the students reveal?

Nitish Kumar and Amit Anand are the two accused who have been arrested as part of the problem-solving gang. Both are infamous for leaking question papers of prestigious exams such as NEET, BPSC, and UPSC.

Nitish and Anand in their confession have informed the Patna Police that they were contacted by Sikandar Prasad Yadavendu, who works as a Junior Engineer at Bihar's Danapur Town Council. It was Sikandar Prasad Yadavendu who asked them to provide NEET 2024 Question Papers for four candidates including his nephew Anurag Kumar. Nitish and Anand charged Rs 32 lakh from Yadavendu for the question papers.

The four students were called to a guest house on May 4, 2024, a day before the exam and both Nitish & Anand helped them to prepare the question paper. The students confessed that same questions came on the exam day i.e. on May 5, 2024.

Anurag Yadav, who is Yadavendu's nephew, was preparing for the NEET-UG in Rajasthan's Kota. In his confession letter, he told police that his uncle called him and said he had access to the question paper.

Another student Shivanandan Kumar in his confession stated that Yadavendu 'uncle' asked him to come to a house on May 4 where Nitish Kumar and Amit Anand helped him prepare the leaked question paper.

Awadhesh Kumar, father of another candidate Abhishek Kumar, stated that he paid Rs 40 lakh to Yadavendu for the NEET question paper. Another candidate Ayush Raj's father, Akhilesh Kumar, admitted to paying Rs 40 lakh to Yadavendu.

Sikandar Prasad Yadavendu's confession and alleged Tejaswi Yadav's links

Talking about mastermind Sikandar Prasad Yadavendu's confession, he reportedly informed the Patna Police that he had assisted the stay of four NEET candidates and the guardian of one of them in Patna. Sikandar Prasad Yadavendu informed that he made arrangements for a stay for his nephew Anurag Yadav who arrived in Patna with his mother. They both stayed at a government guest house, located near the Patna Zoo and the Patna airport.

A news portal quoted bill books of the government guest house and it found the mention of a 'Mantri Ji' who allegedly facilitated the stay of Anurag Yadav and his mother. 

Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha in a press conference accused Preetam Kumar, who is the personal assistant of former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, helped booked the guest house for Yadavendu.
