A major blast near the house of terrorist Hafiz Saeed has killed at least two and injured 16 people in Pakistan’s Lahore. Hafiz Saeed is the founder of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Police personnel and bomb disposal teams have reached Johar Town soon after the explosion took place and started rescue operations. According to a rescue official, people injured in the blast at Johar Town are shifted to Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital with the help of private cars and auto-rickshaws.
According to Pakistani TV channel Geo News, six people have sustained minor injuries. The witnesses of the massive explosion have told media that an unidentified individual parked a bike near the house which later exploded.

People present at the site during the blast said that intensity of the explosion was so high that windows of nearby houses and buildings also shattered. The echo of the explosion could be heard far and wide. The police have seized the area for further investigation.
So far, it is not clear that Hafiz Saeed was present at his house when the blast occurred. According to reports, it is not the first time Saeed has been attacked.
Following the incident, Usman Bizdar, the chief minister of Punjab Province has sought a detailed report from the police and said action will be taken against those behind the blast.
