In a shocking development, blasts took place outside 2 clubs located in Sector-26 of Chandigarh on Tuesday. After the incident, many officers including SSP reached the spot. The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday. Glasses installed outside the clubs broke due to these blasts. However, there is no report of loss of life. It is said that the people who threw the explosives came on bikes.
This incident happened at 4:20 am. 2 bike riders have thrown Desi or 'country-made' bombs at the clubs. This broke the glass of the clubs. Chandigarh Police and Forensic team have reached the spot. Police have taken samples from all the places of the incident. It is pertinent to mention here that PM Narendra Modi is all set to visit Chandigarh on December 3 i..e next month. These blasts are being said to be a conspiracy to spread panic before his visit.
PM's security team to arrive in Chandigarh soon
PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive in Chandigarh on December 3, 2024. Due to this, the police are in alert mode. As per reports, the PM's security team will also arrive in Chandigarh in a day or two.
Chandigarh Clubs Bomb Blast
As per Dainik Bhasker's report, the security guard of the club, Puran Singh revealed that when he came after hearing the sound of the blast, he saw that the glass was broken. There was another security guard there. One attacker was saying to that guard Naresh what can you do to me? Their faces were covered. The accused had come on a bike. During this, one youth started the bike and sat down, while the other threw the explosive.
The area of Chandigarh where these blasts took place is considered to be very prime. A vegetable market is located near it. Apart from this, many central institutions are also near it. The police line and Sector-26 police station are also located there.
The masked men threw a country-made bomb outside Seville Bar and Lounge. After this, they threw a bomb at the Di'Ora Club. There is a distance of about 30 meters between these two clubs.
The bombs used in the incident were filled with nails and inflammable material. Pieces of such things have been recovered from the spot. In such a situation, the police are assuming that country-made bombs (sutli bombs) have exploded. There are many clubs in this area, where cameras are also installed. The police are investigating those CCTV cameras.
