On Monday the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation ( BMC), sealed an apartment in Mumbai due to COVID-19 restrictions. Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty lives in the same apartment along with his family. Officials from BMC confirmed that the the whole family is safe and is being monitored.
According to the rules of the civic bodies, any building with more than five active COVID-19 positive cases must be sealed as a preventive measure as ‘ micro containment zones’. Entry restrictions must be implemented along with a sign which must warn the outsiders before entering. From the latest update as of July 11, around 68 buildings have been sealed by the BMC.
Mumbai has reported 558 new cases of COVID-19 with 15 deaths, which takes the total number to 7,27,694 of infected people. Meanwhile Maharashtra has 8,535 new COVID-19. According to latest rules Rs 10,000 will be fined on violation of any rules by the housing societies. Not abiding by the rules will be charged with a fine of Rs 20,000. Further strict rules have been introduced in order to keep the rising numbers in check.

The 59 year old actor, well known for his work in blockbusters Hera Pheri and Main Hoon Na was recently seen with his son Ahan and cricketer KL Rahul in a video on social media. In the video the three were seen working out together. The post was captioned “ MY LOVE MY STRENGTH!! @ahan.shetty @rahulkl,” As the video received love, rumors about Rahul being Sunil’s future son-in-law have also surfaced.
