Farmers protesting against agricultural laws halted the shooting of Bollywood star Bobby Deol's ongoing 'Love Hostel' near Sothern Bypass (Ludhiana). The shooting staff tried to talk to the farmers, but the farmers remained adamant on the protest. After this, the staff had to stop shooting. Tahal Singh, Sukhbir Singh, Gurdeep Singh, press secretary of Bhartiya Kisan Union, Daconda, who came to protest the shooting, said that unless the central government cancels all three agricultural laws, the films of Bollywood stars in Punjab will not be allowed to be shot.
The shooting of the film starring Bobby Deol had to be stopped due to heavy opposition from the farmers. The shooting staff even tried to talk to the farmers, but the farmers refused to talk. After which the staff had to pack the shooting material from there. During the shooting, Press Secretary of the Indian Farmers Union Daconda, Tahal Singh, Sukhbir Singh, Gurdeep Singh and various farmer leaders started arriving at the scene and started opposing.

During this, Press Secretary Tahal Singh said that there has been a long-standing protest by the farmers against the three agricultural laws, but the central government has been ignoring the demand of the farmers. At the same time, cases are being registered against the farmers who are protesting against their demand. He said that till the Central Government repealed the three agricultural laws on the demand of the farmers, till then the ongoing film shooting of Bollywood stars across the state from the farmers would not be allowed.
Interestingly this is the second time Bobby Deol's film shooting has been forced to stop. Earlier his shooting was halted in Patiala.
