The movie inspired by Hindu mythology is set in contemporary India, where Brahmansh, a secret society that has been guarding the astras (weapons) that were created in ancient India some thousand years back.
Now centuries down the line one of them (Brahmastra) has woken up to destroy the universe and from preventing that to happen, Shiva Ranbir Kapoor’s character in the film is up to use the power of fire bestowed upon him, which he has to identify before bringing into the use.
The movie which is set to hit the theatres on September 9th is the first part of the trilogy, the second and third parts of which will be released between 2024 and 2026.
The tone of Ranbir Kapoor (Shiva) and Alia Bhatt’s (Isha) starrer even gets a fine note with the fine presentation of art by the fellow star cast in the movie.
The fantasy fiction gets complete with Brahma (Amitabh Bachchan), Vishnu (Nagarjuna Akkineni), and Damyanti (Mouni Roy). Bollywood ‘Badshah’ Shah Rukh Khan also has a cameo play in the movie.
The movie since the launch of its trailer has been around controversies right from the scene where Ranbir entered the temple with shoes on to the director of the original plot of the story who is accused of being hinduphobic from where the Ayan Mukerji directorial has been taken.
Recently Alia Bhatt’s remarks amplified the problems for the movie when she openly said at a public event that “if you don’t like me don’t watch me” this statement has left Netizens and critics talking foul about the movie.
How the movie will fair at the box office can only be said after its release. As of now, the movie seems interesting with its superficial work of art on display leaving multi folds of curiosity about Ayan Mukerji’s much-awaited project.
With September 9th scheduled for the movie’s pan India release a major question has left all amazed about its presence in the web space and when will it be released on the OTT.
