After announcing “extended rest period,” BTS members have made their solo Instagram accounts, on Monday. BTS Army has welcomed them with immense love as each Instagram account has garnered more than 4 million followers in less time.
On the same day, Big Hit Music, the company which manages BTS, announced that the K-pop band will be extending the period of rest to “recharge with creative energy”. There are reports that the band will return on the stage in early 2022.
The official statement by the company read, “BTS focusing on preparing for the concert and release of the new album that will mark the beginning of a ‘new chapter. They are preparing for a concert this coming March to connect and communicate with the fans in-person in Seoul”.

While announcing the break, Big Hit Music said that the band has worked during the Covid-19 pandemic. It said, “BTS stayed active to engage with fans in 2020 and 2021 amidst the Covid-19 situation.”
It added, “This period of rest will provide the members of BTS who have tirelessly committed themselves to their activities, a chance to get re-inspired and recharge with creative energy. It will also be the first time for them since their debut to spend the holiday season with their families.”
