Bulandshahr: Yogesh Raj, Bajrang Dal activist and the main accused in the Bulandshahr violence has been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police on Thursday.
Yogesh, was on run for the past one month after violence hit the Siayana area of the district, after cow carcass were allegedly found from an agricultural filed on December 3.
Violence had resulted in the death of a police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh and another youth. Officials have confirmed the arrest of Yogesh, but did not disclose the details.However, it was learnt that he was arrested from Khurja.
As per reports the violence broke out when a mob attacked the police, alleging inaction over complaints of cow slaughter.
