A Sports Day was organized by the Jalandhar Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants today in which Chartered Accountants and students participated in badminton and other games. The event was organized at HMV College, Gulab Devi Road in which 50 Chartered Accountants and 100 students participated.
First Badminton Men's Double and Women's Double were organized in which everyone performed brilliantly. CA Harminder Singh Makkar and CA Surendra Anand were the Winners and CA Sandeep Jindal and CA Rajesh Gupta were the runner ups in close Final Matches. In women's doubles, CA Neha Gupta, CA Kritika were victorious, CA Priyanka and CA Gurpreet Kaur were the runner ups. Abhinav Sharma and Piyush Gupta emerged victorious and Abhinav Gupta and Nikhil Mahajan were the runners-ups in a closely fought contest among the students. Apart from this, Amit Juneja, Nikhil, Jassimran and Sanya Agarwal were victorious in arm wrestling among other sports. Tarak, Raghav, Pranav were victorious in the tug of war, while Yashasvi and Utkarsh were victorious in the obstacle race.
Punjab National Bank's DGM Bhushan Sharma was present as the chief guest in this program. He highly appreciated the initiative taken up by the CA Institute in the form of Sports Day. Welcoming everyone, Chairman CA Shashi Bhushan said that this program was organized for awareness for healthy and active lifestyle after the completion of annual dates of audit and returns. The Managing Committee of Jalandhar Branch welcomed everyone and honored the winners with trophies and medals. Chairman CA Shashi Bhushan, Vice Chairman CA Abhishek Bansal, Secretary CA Sumit Vatta, Executive Member CA Inderjit Abhilashi, CA Rishabh Agarwal, CA Paramjot Singh, RJ Dheer, CA Manoj Chadha, CA Neeraj Khanna, CA Ashutosh Pahwa, CA Gurleen Singh Sahni were present in the program.
The program was Conducted by Raghav Bhushan, Akshit Tohani, Jasimran Kaur, Pranav Bhandari, Tanisha Nanda, Shubham Berry, Jyotsna Prabhakar etc and all the games were organized in a grand manner.
