"I was anticipating a great response, but not this kind," Girish Johar, a producer and film industry expert, said. This is incredible. Big-budget films are the ones that have done well, not just in India but also abroad. It's a given that Spider-Man: No Way Home will do well.
"Honestly, I didn't expect such craziness," said trade analyst Atul Mohan, "but I was convinced it will rake in huge numbers because it belonged to the much-loved franchise Marvels."
"All of us anticipated a tremendous response," Akshaye Rathi, film exhibitor and distributor, said, "but none had envisaged something like this, possibly not even the staff of Sony Pictures in India!" It's never happened before."
"This was predicted," according to trade expert Taran Adarsh. If you look at the booking app, you'll notice that the concerts are quickly filling up or are completely sold out. That demonstrates the film's popularity."
Spider-Man: No Way Home Day 1 predictions:
The trade, industry, and even fans are now anticipating Spider-Man: No Way Home's opening day numbers. Sooryavanshi, the huge Diwali release, with a first-day gross of Rs. 26.09 crore. "It's too early to predict if it'll surpass the opening day record of Sooryavanshi because we don't have the screen count," Taran Adarsh said when asked if the Tom Holland-Zendaya film can go above this figure.
"It's too early to say," Girish Johar agreed, "but it should be Rs. 20 crore more encompassing all languages." "It has the potential to be the number one grosser of the year," he concluded.
Atul Mohan predicted confidently, "I believe it will surpass Sooryavanshi's first-day box office collection. The first day might be a lot more than we're anticipating right now. It's possible to earn more than Rs. 30 crore.”
"You can't rule out the potential of Spider-Man: No Way Home shattering Sooryavanshi's opening day record," Akshaye Rathi said. And now for the fun part. It won't even be shown on half as many screens as Sooryavanshi since Hollywood content is only shown in DCI.”
