A lawmaker from Canada ignited a buzz after appearing naked on a House of Commons Zoom conference meeting and has apologized to his fellow workers.

A liberal MP, William Amos was covering his nether regions on a mobile phone while in a state of nature among the flags of Quebec and Canada when his camera accidentally was turned on in the middle of the session.

Later apologizing to his colleagues the MP said in a tweet, “I made a really unfortunate mistake today and obviously I’m embarrassed by it. My camera was accidentally left on as I changed into work clothes after going for a jog. I sincerely apologize to all my colleagues in the house. It was an honest mistake and it won’t happen again”.

Under the ‘Rules of Order and Decorum’ section there is no dress code mentioned to wear while in a debate but for the male speakers a ‘contemporary business attire’ is required. The 46-year-old MP has made a sincere apology that it was purely an accident and will definitely not happen again.

The Quebec MP’s mishap was only visible to the internal House of Commons feed and the Canadian public was totally unaware initially that one of their MP had turned up in this form.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who is leading Amos’s Liberal party has not made any comment related to the incident. Whereas, the opposition party member Claude DeBellefeuille talked about the incident in French, as per the Canadian Press, “it may be necessary to remind the members especially the male ones that a tie and jacket are obligatory but so are a shirt, boxer shorts or pants”.
