Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Monday shared a family picture from his granddaughter’s wedding ceremony on Instagram in which Captain Amarinder, Patiala MP and Amarinder’s wife, Preneet Kaur, their son Raninder Singh and among other family members could be seen posing with the newly-wed couple.
Seherinder Kaur, daughter of ace shooter Raninder Singh, married Aditya Narang, son of Delhi-based businessman Devin Narang on Sunday in Chandigarh.
Moments after the CM shared the family picture, a video of Captain Amarinder Singh singing ‘Suhag’ (a Punjabi song) went viral. The video was an emotional one and people were able to connect to it. There were many reactions on the video on social media sites with people saying they have seen a different side of Capt Amarinder.
“Daughter or granddaughter's wedding is always an auspicious occasion. Good to see CM Sahab share such an eternal bond with his granddaughter”, reads a comment.
“Punjab CM is an all-rounder. God bless the royal family”, reads another comment.
Meanwhile, where the video on one side brought praises for Capt Amarinder, on the flip side it drew some criticism and people termed the video nothing but another publicity stunt to vow voters.
