CBSE launches 'Facial Recognition System' to help students access digital documents

CBSE has launched the Facial Recognition System that would help students appearing for boards access documents without Aadhaar Card number and mobile number.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has launched the 'Facial Recognition System' to make students enable to download documents of classes 10 and 12. 
aStudents will not have to submit their Adhaar Card and the mobile number to avail the benefits of this app. 
"It can be contemplated that the latest facility of Face Matching will immensely help foreign students and those who are unable to open Digi locker accounts for any reason such as Aadhaar Card or wrong mobile numbers." 

How does CBSE Facial Recognition System work?
"This computer application matches a human face from a digital image already stored in the database. The computer and the human interaction to map facial features," said a statement released by the CBSE.
 CBSE admit card details are already stored in the repository, so a live image of the student will match with the photograph in the system. And once the match is successful, the certificate will be emailed to the student, directly. 
This application is now available on 'Parniaam Manjusha' and DigiLocker at https://digilocker.gov.in/cbse-certificate.html for all 2020 records.
CBSE has already pushed 12 crores digital academic documents in Digi locker which can be opened by a student to access mark sheets, pass and migration certificates.
