The board exam for class 10, batch 2020-2021 was canceled due to the second wave of COVID-19 and the results were to be evaluated as per the assessment policy of CBSE which stated that 20 marks will be assigned by the internal assessment and the rest 80 marks were to be given by the assessment of 80 marks. It was announced that the result would be given by July 15, 2021, but then it was further delayed by the CBSE boards to July 20, 2021.
The students will be able to get their results by this week, the CBSE Board exam students were asked to keep an eye on the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in. The CBSE exam controller Sayam Bhardwaj had informed that the result will be out by July 20, 2021. The assessment is based on the marks scored by the students during the tests or exams that were conducted by the school during the year. Moreover, the past assessment should be in consideration to the school in CBSE 10 Board Exam.
According to the resources, it is known that the regional directors to take a visit in the schools who are preparing the result for Class 10th and 12th. The letter issued by CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said, "For completing this responsibility, it is necessary that all the officials involved in this work get themselves fully accustomed to the Tabulation policy of the Board."

As for the grade 12th marks, the CBSE opened the tabulation portal for the moderation of the marks for class 11th and 12th. The portal will be open from July 16 to July 22. The board has requested the schools to upload the result as soon as possible so that the result may be out by July 31st.
Further, the CBSE board added that for those institutes that won’t be able to upload the result, the marks of those institutes would be declared separately after the decided date. “Class 10 result of over 32,000 students from 7,800 schools were still pending. CBSE has not been able to pull their information. These included either students of other boards or some error from the school’s side,” the official CBSE notice stated.

Due to the struggle caused by the COVID-19 situation, the Board has faced has made new guidelines for the academic year 2021-2022 for both students of class 10th and 12th. The guidelines state that the onetime conduction of the Board exam will not be followed and now the board will conduct the examination twice a year after the end of the two academic terms.
