The Digilocker-based CBSE Class 12th mark sheet and migration certificate are now accepted by universities, according to a notice released by the Central Board of Secondary Education on Friday. According to a formal notice from CBSE, since digital documents on Digilocker are legally acceptable, all higher education institutions should accept them.
Through its notification, CBSE formally requested that the UGC Secretary direct all higher education institutions to accept digital copies of documents that have a QR code and a digital signature. According to the CBSE, "Prof. Rajnish Jain, Secretary, UGC with the request that all higher institutions be advised to accept the digital copy with QR Code and digital signature made available in the students' Digi locker."
The board has advised HEIs to accept digital documents, but according to the official notice, some universities required students to provide their Migration credentials in printed form. CBSE said that the digital mark sheet is complete. The passing and migration certificates that were digitally issued to the students were officially authenticated by the Controller of Examinations.
