As per information, United Kisan Morcha has announced to do chakka jam in Punjab on November 16, 2022. They have also stated that protest will also be carried out if demands are not fulfilled by government.
Reportedly, farmers have decided to take this step due to non-fulfillment of their demands accepted by central government during Delhi Morcha. Farmers have also requested people of Punjab to join the protest and show their support to them.
According to sources, people for Wednesday should refrain from using highways. Main places where chakka jam will be held are Dharedi Jattan on Rajpura-Patiala Road, Faridkot Tahina T-Point, Sri Amritsar Sahib Bhandari Bridge, Teen Koniyan Bridge, Mansa Road, near Mukerian and Talwandi Sabo Road.
Police on getting information about chakka jam by protestors have strengthened security system at places. All arrangements have been made by police officials is the protest intensifies as farmers don’t seem to be happy with how government is not paying heed to their demands.
