Sushil Kumar, an Olympic medalist, is the main suspect in the assassination of wrestler Sagar Dhankar.On May 4, there was a conflict among wrestlers in which three wrestlers were hurt and had to be taken to the hospital, where one of them died during treatment.
Sushil was apprehended on Sunday in the Mundka region of the national capital, along with his buddy Ajay Bakkarwala, who was riding a two-wheeler with him.
Sushil Kumar and his associate were taken by a team of Delhi Police Crime Branch officers to three locations in Delhi linked to the incident- Model Town, Shalimar Bagh, and Chhatrasal Stadium.
According to Delhi Police sources, when the wrestler was being questioned by the police at various locations, Sushil appeared anxious and kept altering his statements. According to them, authorities questioned Kumar at these locations and attempted to determine who else was present with him during the incidents on May 4 and 5.
Police also attempted to verify the footage in which Sagar Dhankar was seen being thrashed by Kumar, according to them.
