Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is going to turn Punjab as one of the leading states for shooting films. Punjab's rich heritage, heritage buildings and places, colourful culture and natural beauty are the reasons for the film industry to flourish here. There is a huge potential for further development.

Apart from this, Punjab is rapidly developing as a preferred place for all types of shootings due to the fame of Punjabi music industry worldwide. Additionally, the post production work is also growing rapidly in the state.

Film industry experts, artists from the state as well as famous personalities from Bollywood have shown interest and said that Punjab is perfectly suited to emerge as a preferred location for shooting films.

Mann shared that he would request his friends from the industry settled in Mumbai to set up their ventures in Punjab. The Punjabi film industry is already very big and this proposed film city will give wings to it to expand, he added.
Mann expressed hope that his visit would propel the state's industrial growth on one hand and open new vistas of employment for the youth on the other.

The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is also starting two projects to promote eco-tourism at Talwara and Maili Dam in Hoshiarpur. The forest department has prepared a plan for this. Under this, all-weather huts will be built for camping. The eco park in Talwara will give tourists a view of the entire city from a hill, which will be known as Hawa Mahal. This project will be built on one acre.

The Punjab government has set a target to make Punjab an international tourist destination by the year 2030. The government will also preserve rich culture, art and heritage of the state.
