Every year, on 14th November, Children's Day is celebrated in India to raise awareness about the rights, education, and welfare of children. This day marks the birth anniversary of the first prime minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru. He was known to have been fond of children. He was affectionately called Chacha Nehru by children. He shared a friendly and special bond with kids and he was equally loved by them as well.
On this day, many educational and motivational programs for children are organized all across the country. Few schools in India give holiday to their students on Children's Day whereas private schools organize a fair for their students.
Here’s a list of ways to celebrate Children’s day:
- · Watch movies together: Make a list of your kid’s favorite movie, make a cozy setup with curtains, fairy lights and lots of snacks. Cuddle together while watching their favourite movies. This will make the kid’s day more fun and memorable.
- · Treasure Hunt: Set up a treasure hunt around the house or kid’s favorite location. Add clues or a map for more excitement. Add small prizes at each stop such as toys, treats, or activity coupons. This activity will make the kids enjoy their day to the fullest.
- · Baking or crafting together: Spend the day baking together. Let your kids choose a recipe of cupcakes or cookies as baking together and getting involved in homemade cake baking session is a fun way of spending time and celebrating the day. You can also craft things like bracelets, paint rocks, or create clay toys together.
- · Costume and Dance Party: Host a costume party at home. Let your kids dress up as their favorite characters. You can set up a dance floor with fun lighting, their favorite songs and make them dance. Also, you can do a quick photo session and capture those beautiful moments.
- · Outing: Spend the day visiting parks or fun outdoor areas with kids. Visit picnic spots, play and eat together. You can play their favorite games or make them enjoy their favorite rides. This will make the kid’s day filled with fun and memories.
