Army General MM Naravane today talked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed the various initiatives taken by the Indian Army to help the civilians during COVID-19.
According to the statement released by Prime Minister Office, "Gen MM Naravane informed the PM that the medical staff of the Army is being made available for various State Governments. He also briefed the PM that Army has set-up various hospitals in different parts of the country."

The statement added that the General also informed Prime Minister Modi that the army is helping with manpower for imported oxygen tankers and vehicles where specialized skills were required to manage them.
Recently, Chief of Defense Staff Gen. Bipin Rawat and Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal R.K.S Bhadauria had a conversation with Prime Minister Modi and praised him for his efforts to assist the civil administration in dealing with the second wave of coronavirus.
