Clash erupts between Congress supporters & police over MP Ravneet Bittu's arrest in Ludhiana

Chaos ensued in Ludhiana as Congress supporters came out in waves to protest against Congress MP Ravneet Bittu’s arrest. Bittu was taken into custody by the polices following an FIR registered against the MP. There was a scuffle between them as they tried to break down the police barricades in which even the turbans of the policemen came off.

 

According to reports, Bittu had locked the Municipal Corporation office during protest against the Central Government at the Mata Rani Chowk. a case was registered by the Municipal Corporation against Bittu along with former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, former MLA Sanjay Talwar and 60 other Congressmen. Currently, Bhushan Ashu has been put under house arrest by the Police.

 

Bittu had previously announced that he would be arrested in this case. Following this, a large number of supporters came outside the DC office. Along with him, former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu was also detained. During this, there was a huge uproar between the police and Congress supporters. There was a scuffle between them as they tried to break the police barricade. In which even the turbans of the policemen came off.

 

MP Bittu said that the AAP government wants to suppress the Congress, but the Congress is not afraid of the atrocities of the cruel government. According to Bittu, people will teach a lesson to the Aam Aadmi Party government in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

 

Apart from MP Bittu, 60 Congressmen including former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Ludhiana Congress chief Sanjay Talwar, former deputy mayor Sham Sundar Malhotra have been named in the FIR registered by the police for locking the corporation office. 4 days ago, Bittu held a meeting with Congress workers in which Congress workers including all senior leaders had announced the arrest.
