A cloudburst took place in Himachal Pradesh’s Bhagsunath area of Dharamshala on Monday morning, with reports suggesting that floods caused many cars and other vehicles to be washed away.
The incident has caused widespread chaos and damage across the region. Around 10 shops damaged as Manjhi River rages following heavy rainfall. However, no loss of life was reported.
As per reports, the national highway near Jhakri in Rampur area of Shimla district was blocked following heavy rainfall.

Notably, many tourists from Punjab and other nearby areas
remain stranded at the national highway, while rescue and relief operations
have been slow because of the rain which is continuing since morning.
Soon after the local administration learnt about the incident, they rushed a team to the spot; and the tourists are being shifted to safer places.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded a rain alert in various parts of the state. The MeT department earlier issued an orange weather warning of heavy to very heavy rains in plains and mid-hills on July 12 and 13 July and yellow weather warning for July 14 and 15.
