Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who arrived at Baba Bakala Sahib today on the occasion of 'Rakhar Punya', has made a special announcement for women.
The Punjab government has said that the notification for 6000 Anganwadi posts and appointment letters for 4300 police personnel posts will be issued soon.
Chief Minister further added that 16 medical colleges will be opened in Punjab soon. After which the youth will not have to go to Ukraine or other countries for medical studies. Punjab already has 9 medical colleges and after 16 medical colleges, one medical college will be established in each district.
Along with this, it has been announced to open a medical college at Maler Kotla and an agricultural college at Kalanur in Gurdaspur and to upgrade the hospital of Baba Bakala Sahib under the border belt.
CM Mann said that this time the central government has stopped the installment of 1760 crore rupees to be released for the rural development fund. The reason behind this was that Captain Sarkar had invested 1760 crore rupees in some other work but they made an act that the money of this fund will be used in this work. After which the Center released an installment of Rs 1760 crore to Punjab.
The Chief Minister has also made several announcements related to agriculture in which not only the farmer but also the village laborer will be given 10 percent compensation in case of crop damage. Not only this, hi-tech steps will be taken to prevent the black marketing of paddy from other states.
The central government has also announced the adoption of one of their proposals.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has appealed to farmers to keep distance from paddy during this period. He said that the Punjab government will soon give options to the farmers, so that groundwater can be saved. Along with this, he asked the youth of the state not to go out. He said that the youth should stop here, soon the Punjab government will provide the means of employment.
