Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenet Ramsey is an upcoming three-part docuseries releasing on 25th November on Netflix. It is produced by Joe Berlinger, Craig D’Entrone, Jon Kamen, Jen Isaacson, and Tim Young.

This series revolves around the mysterious murder case of JonBenet Ramsey, the child beauty queen. She was killed in her Colorado home almost around 30 years ago.

JonBenét Patricia Ramsey was an American child beauty queen. She was suspiciously killed at the age of 6 in her family's home in Boulder, Colorado on 25th December.

On 26th December 1996, her parents, John and Patsy Ramsey got a ransom note. The ransom note read, “We are a group of individuals that represent a small foreign faction. We do respect your business but not the country that it serves. At this time, we have your daughter in our possession. She is safe and unharmed and if you want her to see 1997, you must follow our instructions to the letter. You will withdraw 118,000.00 dollars from your account. 100,000 dollars will be in 100 dollars bills and the remaining 18,000 dollars in $20 bills.”

Her body was found in the house's basement almost about 7 hours after she was reported missing. She had a broken skull and was strangled to death. This mysterious case generated public and media interest worldwide as her mother Patsy Ramsey, a former beauty queen, had entered her daughter, JonBenét into a series of child beauty pageants.

Who killed JonBenet Ramsey?

John Mark Karr, a 41-year-old school teacher, was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand on 15th August 2006, after making a false confession of murdering JonBenet. He claimed to drug, assault, and accidentally kill her.

However, in his confession, he had provided only few basic facts that were publicly known. He failed to give any additional details that could convince the investigators.

Additionally, the claim that the victim was drugged was suspicious because the post-mortem indicated no drugs were found in her body. In fact, Karr's DNA did not match with the DNA found on JonBenet's body as well. According to CNN, “Authorities also said they did not find any evidence linking Karr to the crime scene.”

Now, director Joe Berlinger is re-examining this infamous mysterious murder case through the docuseries titled ‘Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenet Ramsey?’ This three-part docuseries will explore the new steps that the authorities could have taken to bring the killer to justice.
