Currently off-air, The Kapil Sharma Show was expected to make a return in the month of May. But due to the Covid pandemic, the comeback of the comedy show is postponed till June and it might get more delayed depending on the situation.
Where the fans are missing the famous show on Sony Television, makers are not sure about the date of its return. Earlier, the comedy show had gone off-air in January because of the unavailability of Bollywood stars.
Due to the Covid19 pandemic, shooting was banned, no films were releasing in theaters because of which no celebrity had come for the promotion. The makers of the show invited TV stars and web series actors. However, this did not help in increasing TRP after which it was decided to take the show off-air.

It was also said that the host of the show, Kapil Sharma has taken a paternity break as he was expecting his second child with his wife Ginni Chatrath.
According to sources, “The country’s situation is critical due to coronavirus infection. Makers of the show are aware that no celebrities will be available for the shoot. The Kapil Sharma show team was expecting to make a comeback in May as it was anticipated that the Covid situation would be under control. However, considering the rising number of cases, re-launch of the show is not yet guaranteed.”
Meanwhile, it has been six months since the Indian reality show Indian Idol season 12 is broadcasting on television. The show was supposed to end in April, however, makers have decided to continue the show till Kapil Sharma Show makes its return.
Team member, Krishna Abhishek who plays the role of Sapna had also revealed that a new set is in making, many new things would be added to the show and they are hoping to give good news soon.
