In light of the statewide "Punjab Bandh" call by farmers, Sh. Swapan Sharma, Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, along with his officers , conducted a comprehensive inspection across key areas in the city to ensure public safety, peace, and order.
Sh. Swapan Sharma visited multiple strategic checkpoints and inspected police presence at these critical locations. He emphasized the need for heightened vigilance and immediate responsiveness from law enforcement officers, urging them to act swiftly in case of any untoward incidents or disruptions.
CP Jal stated that the safety and well-being of the public are our top priorities. To maintain law and order throughout the city, approximately 1,200 police personnel have been deployed across five divisions at 24 key points. The officers are being instructed to remain vigilant and prepared for any situation.
The Commissioner also reassured the public that all necessary steps are being taken to minimize any disturbances and ensure smooth daily operations. Citizens were urged to stay calm and cooperate with the authorities during this time.
The Jalandhar Police remain committed to maintaining peace and ensuring that public safety is upheld throughout the duration of the "Punjab Bandh" call.
