Nationals of different countries have been stranded outside, to bring them back Special Chartered Flights are operational. But, this isn't right in the case of marriage.
Lockdown is adding to the woes of this Pakistani bride who's awaiting her visa to reach Jalandhar city of Punjab in lieu to tie a nuptial knot with her beloved.
Although there are not so friendly relations between India and Pakistan, there are some people who do not fall prey to such baits and continues to embrace their relationship beyond borders.
Such is the relationship between Kamal Kalyan, a resident of Madhuban Colony, Jalandhar, and Sumaila, a resident of Pakistan. The couple was engaged in 2018 and the two were to get married in March this year. For her marriage, Sumaila was to come to Jalandhar from Pakistan but, due to coronavirus induced lockdown, the wait for both of them is getting longer. Pakistani Bride is not able to get a visa to come to India even though all her documents are fully prepared.
On asking Kamal Kalyan, he said this relationship has been going on for the last five years. Initially, his parents were not ready to accept the relation but, his father's relatives reside there in Pakistan, which is why this relationship has been accepted. According to him, he has not met Sumaila even once and the engagement took place through a video call. Kamal Kalyan has now urged the Indian government to grant Sumaila a visa so that she can come to India as soon as possible to get married.

Kamal Kalyan's mother Sudesh says that when she found out about the relationship, she was angry with her son at first but, eventually she agreed. Now they are awaiting Sumaila's visa so that they two can get married.
At the same time, Kamal's father Om Prakash said that his relatives are in Pakistan and Sumaila is the daughter of one of his relatives. According to him, Sumaila wants to stay in India so the marriage of Sumaila and Kamal Kalyan was fixed.
