According to Union Health Ministry data released on Friday, India's coronavirus caseload crossed 84 lakh mark. The number of recoveries rose to 77.65 lakh, taking the national recovery rate to 92.32 per cent. The total coronavirus cases increased to 84,11,724 after 47,638 new infections cases were reported in a day. After 670 new fatalities, the death toll soared to 1,24,985.
A total of 77,65,966 people have recovered from COVID-19 infection so far, which took the national recovery rate to 92.32 per cent. The fatality rate in India stands at 1.49 per cent. The number of active coronavirus cases continued to remain below 6 lakh for the eighth consecutive day. The ministry data showed that India presently has 5,20,773 active cases of coronavirus infection which comprises 6.19 per cent of the total caseload.

# Puducherry recorded 126 fresh COVID-19 cases pushing the overall tally of to 35,675. No fatality has been recorded in the union territory in the last 24 hours.
# On Thursday, Odisha's COVID-19 tally increased to 2,97,274 after 1,385 more people tested positive for the infection while Fourteen fresh fatalities pushed the state's death toll to 1,378. As many as 1460 patients recovered taking the total number of COVID-19 cured persons to 2,83,533. The state’s recovery rate is 95.37 per cent and the fatality ratio (CFR) stands at 0.46.
# Delhi on Thursday reported the highest single-day spike in four months with over 6,500 new COVID-19 cases.
# West Bengal on Thursday recorded the highest single-day recovery of 4,187 COVID-19 patients, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,50,449, the health department said in a bulletin. With 54 more people succumbing to the virus, the fatality toll mounted to 7,122. With 3,948 people testing positive for the infection, the active cases tally in the state is 3,93,524.
# Arunachal Pradesh COVID-19 tally surged to 15,244 today after 84 more people tested positive for the infection while 108 more patients were discharged from hospitals. The total number of recoveries in the state is 13,580. The recovery rate among coronavirus patients in the state is at 89.08 percent and the state now has 1,621 active coronavirus cases.
# Maharashtra reported 5,246 fresh COVID-19 cases on November 5, taking its tally to over 17 lakh. Maharashtra's COVID-19 tally remains the highest among Indian states and union territories, according to the Union Health Ministry's latest update.
# According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 11,54,29,095 samples have been tested for COVID-19 up to November 5 with 12,20,711 samples being tested on Thursday.
# With 14 more new COVID-19 cases in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the tally in the Union Territory rose to 4,403. The total number of recoveries in the island is 4,175 after 12 more people were cured of the virus. The coronavirus death toll remained at 60 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands as no fresh fatality was reported in the past 24 hours.
# Kerala registered 6,820 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday pushing the tally in the state to 4,45,467, while 7,669 persons recovered from the disease pushing the total recoveries to 3,80,650.

# 1,602 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Telangana, taking the tally to 2,47,284 while four more deaths pushed the death toll to 1,366. The case fatality rate in the state was 0.55 per cent, while it was 1.5 per cent at the national level.
# Assam recorded no coronavirus deaths for the second consecutive day on Thursday. 313 new positive cases pushed the tally to 2,08,054, while 761 patients also recovered from the disease, taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,99,455. The recovery rate is 95.86 per cent now. Present, Assam has 7,662 active cases.
