"Weddings Often Involve Unnecessary Expenses," says Groom Kamalpreet
Speaking to the media, the groom, Kamalpreet, shared that modern weddings involve a lot of unnecessary expenses. He had already decided that he would have a simple wedding. Kamalpreet pointed out that nowadays, weddings include multiple extravagant functions, leading families to unnecessary financial burdens, sometimes even putting them in debt.
With mutual agreement from both families, they decided to conduct a simple wedding without dowry or any grand celebrations. They performed the Anand Karaj ceremony, followed by a Sukhmani Sahib Path at home. Instead of spending money on lavish wedding expenses, they organized an eye check-up camp in memory of Kamalpreet’s late mother.
Groom Kamalpreet emphasized that people should focus on meaningful initiatives rather than wasting money on extravagant weddings.
The bride also urged people to got for simple weddings and avoid unnecessary expenses.
