On 15th February, Saturday, a US aircraft C-17 Globemaster III carrying deported Indians had landed at Sri Guru Ram Das Ji Airport in Amritsar.
Following this, Punjab Police detained two brothers from among the 116 passengers who had returned in a US military plane at 11:30 pm on Saturday night. These brothers have been arrested by Patiala Police.
Investigation has revealed that a murder case was registered against both the cousins in Rajpura, Patiala on 25th June 2023. At present, both the brothers will be produced in the court today afternoon. The two arrested cousins have been identified as Sandeep and Pradeep.
According to the FIR received from the police, on 25th June 2023, Dhindsa village resident Hasmukh had a fight with fruit vendors near Dana Mandi. On Hasmukh's support, Sandeep and Pradeep reached Dana Mandi with swords. After which a fight broke out between the accused and a youth named Sarwan Singh, who died.
Satnam Singh, a family member of both the accused, informed that this morning they got to know that Pradeep and Sandeep have not returned home and both of them have been arrested by the police.
As per the family of the accused, both have been implicated in a false case. The family is hoping that both the brothers return home.
A total of around 1.20 crore rupees were spent to send both of them abroad. Satnam Singh said that before taking the money, the agent had said that he would send them through a clean route. However, both the children were sent through the jungle route.
Satnam Singh said that there was a fight in 2023. Both brothers were implicated in it. In this case, their names came up because of the car. The police recovered the car from our house.
Satnam has appealed that his children should be taken out of the false case and action should be taken against the agents who had send them abroad.
