China's Wuhan lab has again come into the limelight after the coronavirus pandemic. A new virus resembling to coronavirus has been found in this Wuhan lab. Its name is HKU5-CoV-2. This virus has been found in animals right now. It has not spread to humans. But it can easily spread from animals to humans.

This virus has also been found to have a human receptor-like SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for Covid-19. According to the South China Morning Post, Shi Zhengli has led the team studying this virus. The team included scientists from Guangzhou Laboratory, Guangzhou Science Academy, Wuhan University, and Wuhan Institute of Virology. This study was published in the peer-reviewed journal Cell on February 18.

Chinese Scientists warn against new Bat Coronavirus

Chinese scientists have found in research that the new virus can infect human cells just like Corona. It can infect not only bats but also many animals including humans. The study also revealed that the risk of this new virus spreading from bats to humans is very high. However, its ability to connect with humans is less than that of the coronavirus. This virus is very close to the coronavirus family caused by Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).

At present, given the possibility of this danger, Chinese scientists have become alert and have increased their surveillance. Concerns may increase about the possibility of it spreading from animals to humans.

After this discovery, the debate about the origin of the coronavirus has once again intensified. Recently, the US intelligence agency CIA claimed that the Covid-19 pandemic was not natural. Rather this virus was leaked from the lab. US President Donald Trump has also been referring to this virus as the "Chinese virus". However, China has been denying all these claims and maintains that the virus had a natural origin.
