Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s life has been threatened once again. Having made the news for acquiring an armored Nissan Patrol for his protection just last week, Khan might have to put it to use soon. The Mumbai Police received a bone chilling threat over the phone. Reportedly, the call was made by a cow vigilante named Rocky bhai from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The Bishnoi gang, helmed by convicted gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is known to have ties with the tribal communities of Rajasthan. These communities, Bishnois being among them, are known for protecting the environment, especially local endangered animals.
Salman Khan earned their hatred because of his involvement in the black buck case. Khan was accused of killing an endangered black buck during a hunting sortie, while shooting for a film in Rajasthan. The Mumbai police is on alert considering that Salman khan has multiple public appearances scheduled due to the release of his film, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai, Kisi Ki Jaan’.

The Mumbai Police has issued an official statement saying that an investigation is underway. They are expecting to capture the caller soon and are likely to add additional protection to the superstar’s security detail. With new armored cars being imported and added to Khan’s garage, it looks like the matter is a serious one and has not missed the attention of the family. The 57-year-old star will need all the help he can get, as he makes public appearances to promote his latest movie among the masses.
