The sourness in the relationship between the BJP and the RSS is not a backdoor talk anymore. BJP's debacle in Lok Sabha Elections 2024 despite becoming the single-largest party has come under the scanner of RSS. It is said that BJP is the political wing of RSS. However, a major shockwave was sent in the political fraternity when BJP Chief JP Nadda during Lok Sabha Elections 2024 stated that the saffron party is no longer dependent upon the RSS. After the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 results were announced BJP could only manage to win 241 seats and Modi's Abki Baar 400 Paar clarion call fell flat. Therefore, Narendra Modi had to take the oath after support from its allies like TDP and JDU. Thereafter, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat during a speech fired his reply without naming the BJP that 'a true karsevak is never arrogant'. Many believed that Bhagwant targeted Modi & Shah in his speech.
Now, RSS leader Indresh Kumar on Thursday did not mince his words against BJP and even the Congress. Speaking at the 'Ramrath Ayodhya Yatra Darshan Poojan Samaroh, Indresh Kumar was quoted saying, "The party (BJP) which did the bhakti (of lord Ram) but became arrogant was stopped at 241 but it was made the biggest party..And those who had no faith in Ram, they together were stopped at 234."
Indresh highlighted, "See the 'Vidhan' of Ram Rajya in democracy; those who did 'Bhakti (worshipped) of Ram but gradually turned arrogant, that party emerged as the biggest party, but the vote and power that should have been given was stopped by God due to their arrogance."
Slamming INDIA block, Indresh said, "Those who opposed Ram, none of them was given power. Even all of them together were made number two. God's justice is true and enjoyable,..Those who worship Ram should be humble and those who oppose Ram, the Lord himself dealt with them."
Why are BJP & RSS not on cordial terms?
Bhagwat did not mention anyone's name in his 'arrogant kar sevak' remarks, however, it is a well-known fact that PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah sit at the top of the table when it comes to the functions of the BJP. Due to the sourness in their relationship, RSS also did not seek votes for the BJP till May 1, 2024. It is said that RSS was not happy with the distribution of tickets among the candidates by the BJP. However, attempts were made to woo RSS, thereafter, after May 1, the Hindu organisation started to work in favour of the BJP to the full extent.
