In a major embarrassing event for Samastipur administration of Bihar, a group of dancers were allegedly called from outside to perform at a quarantine centre in Karrakh village of Bihar's Samastipur district on Monday night.
After the video went viral, the district administration said that it will take action, adding they have not granted permission for any entertainment from outside.
"We are taking cognisance of the matter and will take action accordingly. We have installed TV there. Administration doesn't permit for any other entertainment from outside," said Additional District Collector.
This comes at a time when the state has been making all-out efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus.
In March, the Nitish Kumar-led government had said it will bear the entire expenses incurred on the treatment of the coronavirus patients.
"The state government will bear the entire expenses, under Mukhyamantri Chikitsa Sahayata Kosh Yojana, of the treatment of the patients who have contracted novel coronavirus," Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had said in the state Assembly.
The Chief Minister had also announced a compensation for the kin of a person who dies due to the coronavirus
"If someone dies due to coronavirus then the next of the kin of the deceased will be given Rs 4 lakh as compensation from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund," he had said.
