On February 11, 2022, Amazon Prime will stream Gehraiyaan. It was originally scheduled to be launched on January 25, but the release date was pushed back earlier this month. The film's plot concentrates upon the issues that arise when two lovers battle guilt and suspicion from their respective partners, while their elder family members also try to find a solution.
India-based Dar Gai, a Ukrainian filmmaker who worked as the intimacy coordinator on director Shakun Batra's Gehraiyaan, spoke about her experience on the set. She revealed in an interview that she was intended to remain on for five days to conduct workshops and direct the music videos, but she ended up staying for a month and a half.

Dar Gai discusses her work as Gehraiyaan's intimacy director.
The director went on to tell the HT how much fun she had onset. Dar added that every time she walked on set, Shakun Batra felt relieved, exclaiming, 'Oh my God, thank God you came, just tell them to kiss,' when referring to one of their jokes. Dar remarked, "I'd flee the scene. That was our inside joke at the time "... When there was an intimate scene, they would all yell, "Where is Dar?" and promise to do some exercises to make the filming go more smoothly.
When questioned why intimacy directors are needed, Dar explained that if there is an action or combat sequence, the performers are aware of what they are signing up for, but action directors are still recruited. "Similarly, intimacy direction assists us in making performers feel comfortable - both physically and emotionally," she said.
